Original Maine Garden Hod

Originally used by New England clammers, the garden hod allows for harvesting and washing up to two pecks (16 quarts) of plants, fruits, and vegetables all in the same basket. Spray your harvest with a hose or dunk the whole hod in a larger container of water for most effective rinsing. Crafted in Maine with pine ends, birch dowels, a steam-bent oak handle and the same lobster trap wire as our compost bin – a durable stainless steel mesh, covered with food-grade vinyl. Weather resistant, hand-rubbed oil finish. Hundreds of other uses – both inside and out. They make great gifts any time of the year. Holds 2 pecks (16 quarts), basket is 19 1/4"L x 11"W x 7 1/4" deep.
