Johnny’s Winder

Developed in close collaboration with our Research Farm Crew, Johnny’s ground cover winder simplifies removal of ground cover and drip tape from beds at the end of the season. By pinning the ground cover to the hitch-mounted spindle, the material can be neatly rolled up on chain link fence top rail for future use or disposal. This not only saves labor but makes it easier to roll and store ground cover and drip tape, which can extend the lifespan of the material. The Johnny’s Winder mounts to a 2" square trailer hitch.
