Tahi
$70.00 Original price was: $70.00.$21.00Current price is: $21.00.
Description
Vigorous growth, more upright habit, and larger fruit (up to 4.5 gm.) than spiny black raspberry cultivars. Fruits have a medium-firm texture, deep black color, and mild black raspberry flavor. Harvest season is similar to Jewel’s. A tightly clustered fruit presentation on the end of fruiting laterals can make early picking difficult, but the lack of thorns ultimately makes picking and pruning easier than with traditional black raspberry varieties. Bred at Shekinah Berry in Auckland, New Zealand. ‘Tahi’ is a fitting name for this variety, as Tahi means "number one" in Maori, and Tahi is the very first completely thornless black raspberry. Grows best in Zones 5–8. 1 Unit = 1 plant.
