Elliot is late to bloom and produces strong yields of medium-sized berries through September in most regions. The late bloom period protects blossoms from most spring frosts. The heavy bud set warrants extra pruning, but the bountiful crops of fruit are worth the effort.  It is best to harvest berries when fully ripe, as they can be quite tart otherwise. Keep plants well pruned to maximize yield. For optimal production, another blueberry variety is recommended for cross-pollination. Grows best in Zones 4–8. 1 Unit = 1 plant.
