Dutch White Clover

$10.00

Description

Our lowest growing clover, Dutch White is a perennial clover (6–8") that excels as a living mulch thanks to its tolerance for mowing, foot traffic, and close-cut management. It’s a favorite of our Operations Team and is used extensively on Johnny’s Research Farm for its reliability and ease of management. Plant in early spring or fall, either alone or in mixes. It performs well when frost-seeded into overwintered cover crops like winter rye or wheat, and it can also be broadcast into standing fall crops—establishing under the canopy and continuing growth after termination. Because white clover spreads by stolons and can reseed, a management plan is important. Low mowing helps limit seed production, while targeted tillage prevents excessive spread. Pre-inoculated with an OMRI-listed clover inoculant to optimize performance.Specs:Avg. 700,000 seeds/lb
