Johnny’s 72-Cell Plug Popper & Dibble Board

The rigid two-sided design can be used to create dibbles for seeding to begin the season, while the 72 longer-length pins align with drainage holes to free plugs when it’s time for transplanting. Designed to precisely conform with "TO Plastics" brand trays (Johnny’s #9496 and #9497). Johnny’s Plug Popper is also compatible with Johnny’s air-pruning trays as well as other brands of 72-cell plug trays and air-pruning trays. When it’s time to transplant, align and press the plug tray down on the pins to loosen each plug. The thick 1/8" frame of the Plug Popper ensures that the pins will remain neatly aligned. At Johnny’s Research Farm, we have found that by inserting the Plug Popper into a deep 1020 tray such as Johnny’s Polypro Endurance Deep Tray, the walls of the deep tray help to align the pins with the 72-cell plug tray.
